Northwestern Kanawha County in central West Virginia...
East central Putnam County in western West Virginia...
* Until 615 PM EDT.
* At 538 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Sissonville to near Cross Lanes to Tornado,
moving east at 15 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

Charleston, Nitro, Jefferson, South Charleston, St. Albans, Dunbar,
Sissonville, Cross Lanes, Institute, and Tornado.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 79 between mile markers 1 and 5.
Interstate 77 in West Virginia between mile markers 100 and 116.
Interstate 64 in West Virginia between mile markers 46 and 57.
Route 119 between mile markers 74 and 80.
Instruction:
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
Prepare immediately for large hail and damaging winds. People outside
should move immediately to shelter inside a strong building. Stay
away from windows.
Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning
are occurring with these storms. Move indoors immediately. Lightning
is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear
thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
