Description:
* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is
expected.
* WHERE...Southeastern Big Horn County in central Wyoming...
Northern Washakie County in central Wyoming...
* WHEN...Until 700 PM MDT.
* IMPACTS...Rises in small streams and normally dry washes and draws.
Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. Some low-water crossings
may become impassable.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 353 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding. Rapid river
rises will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. Between 0.5
and 1 inch of rain has fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Betonite Ridge Draw, Paint Rock Creek, Hidden Dome Draw, Nowood
River, Sand Creek, Zeisman Dome Draw, Buffalo Creek, Weintz Draw,
Brokenback Creek and Big Cottonwood Creek. Additional rainfall
amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This
additional rain will result in minor flooding.

Mainly rural areas of Southeastern Big Horn and Northern Washakie
Counties south of Hyattville.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
