At 609 PM MDT, amateur radio operators reported a strong thunderstorm over Bison Crossing, or 7 miles south of Cheyenne, moving southeast at 40 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph behind line. Flooding may occuring in poor drainage and low lying areas. SOURCE...Amateur radio. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Cheyenne, South Greeley Highway, Fox Farm-College, Cheyenne Regional Airport, South Cheyenne, Winchester Hills, Bison Crossing, Warren AFB, Ranchettes, Cowboy Ranch South, and Grass Hills. This includes the following highways... Interstate 25 in Wyoming between mile markers 1 and 11. Interstate 80 in Wyoming between mile markers 358 and 369.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM MDT for southeastern Wyoming.
