At 939 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Gillette Airport, or 7 miles northwest of Gillette, moving northeast at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Gillette, Buckskin Mine, Eagle Butte Mine, Rawhide Mine, Dry Fork Mine, Wyodak Mine, Echeta, Gillette Airport and Camplex Event Facility. This includes Interstate 90 in Wyoming between Mile Markers 119 and 133.
