Description:
At 624 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 9 miles north of
Echeta, or 25 miles northwest of Gillette, moving southeast at 40
mph.
HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind
damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Northeastern Gillette, Buckskin Mine, Eagle Butte Mine, Rawhide
Mine, Dry Fork Mine, Echeta, Spotted Horse and Gillette Airport.
This includes Interstate 90 in Wyoming between Mile Markers 129 and
130.
Instruction:
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large
hail.
