The trough will bring a 20 to 40 percent chance of thunderstorms with potential for new fire starts due to lightning. Initial storms may be dry with strong gusty outflow winds, especially in southeast Oregon, but storms overnight through Saturday will gradually trend wetter as they spread into Idaho.
