Description:
* WHAT...For the Dense Fog Advisory, visibility one quarter mile or
less in dense fog. For the Air Stagnation Advisory, poor air
quality will continue. This is due to an inversion and stagnant
air conditions near the surface that will continue to trap
pollutants.
* WHERE...For the Dense Fog Advisory, Central Douglas County,
Josephine County, and Jackson County. For the Air Stagnation
Advisory, Central Douglas County, Eastern Curry County and
Josephine County, and Jackson County. This includes the cities of
Roseburg, Grants Pass, Cave Junction and Medford.
* WHEN...For the Dense Fog Advisory, until 10 AM PST this morning.
For the Air Stagnation Advisory, until noon PST Friday.
* IMPACTS...Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous.
Poor air quality may cause issues for people with respiratory
problems.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Mixing and ventilation should be better at
the south end of the Rogue Valley from around Talent to Ashland
due to stronger SE winds.
Instruction:
If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of
distance ahead of you.
Persons with respiratory illness should follow their physicians
advice for dealing with high levels of air pollution during periods
of stagnant air.
