Description: 
* WHAT...Flooding caused by an ice jam continues. * WHERE...Bethel, Kwethluk * WHEN...Until 345 PM AKDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. This includes Kwethluk as well as low-lying areas in Bethel including near Brown Slough and Alligator Acres. River or stream flows are elevated. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 404 PM AKDT, The River Watch Team reported water levels near 8.6 feet in Bethel at the BETA2 river gauge. These levels should remain steady or slowly rise through tomorrow. An ice jam remains in place a few miles south of Bethel, between Napakiak and Oscarville-Napaskiak. Impounding water due to the ice jam will cause river rises. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood - If you live near or along the Kuskokwim Rover at Bethel, including Brown Slough and Alligator Acres, or Kwethluk stay alert and be prepared to take action.
