Description:
At 442 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Maud, or 7 miles southeast of New Boston, moving east at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Texarkana, Atlanta, Wake Village, Nash, Hooks, Queen City,
Redwater, Maud, Plain Dealing, Red Lick, Fouke, Bradley, Garland,
Ida, Brightstar, Genoa, Ravanna, Canfield and Leary.
Instruction:
Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.
This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
