Description:
At 723 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Deering, or 8 miles east of Kennett, moving east at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Kennett, Caruthersville, Piggott, Portageville, Hayti, Tiptonville,
Ridgely, Holcomb, Hayti Heights, Wardell, Greenway, Deering, Bolton,
Cottonwood Grove, Bragg City, Pascola, Nimmons, Wynnburg, Lorine, and
Hathaway.
This includes Interstate 55 in Missouri between mile markers 17 and
31.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for
eastern Arkansas...southeastern Missouri...and west Tennessee.
