* WHAT...Blizzard conditions occurring reducing visibility to 1/4 mile. Additional snow accumulation up to 2 inches. Winds gusting between 40 and 50 mph with isolated gusts 60 to 70 mph. Wind chill values 10 below to 20 below zero. * WHERE...Southern Alaska Peninsula, including Cold Bay, False Pass, and Sand Point. * WHEN...Until 6 AM AKDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Visibilities reduced to one quarter mile or less due to blowing snow. Travel could be very difficult. Strong winds could cause extensive damage to power lines. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Due to the showery nature of these heavy snow showers produced by the clouds streaming off the ice edge, conditions can vary greatly over a short distance.
