Description:
* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 9 to 12 feet and minor coastal
inundation.
* WHERE...North and east facing reefs of Majuro.
* WHEN...From 3 PM Wednesday to 4 PM ChST Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding and debris pushed up on roads and
property near north and east facing shores. Dangerous swimming
and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Building northerly and easterly swells
will build surf across the Marshall Islands, creating hazardous
surf up to 12 feet and increasing the risk for minor inundation.
The greatest risk of minor coastal flooding will be along
northerly exposed shores due to the long-period northerly swell.
Instruction:
Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to
dangerous surf conditions.
