...COASTAL FLOOD STATEMENT REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THE EARLY MORNING HOURS FOR LOW LYING COASTAL AREAS ACROSS THE STATE... .Peak monthly tides combined with water levels running higher than predicted could lead to minor coastal flooding issues for vulnerable low-lying coastal areas during the peak daily high tide cycle this morning. However, this morning will likely be the last day for this coastal flooding statement as the early morning high tides will continue to trend lower for the rest of this week. * WHAT...Isolated minor coastal flooding. * WHERE...Portions of Niihau, Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Lanai, Maui and the Big Island. * WHEN...Until 6 AM HST early this morning. * IMPACTS...Flooding of beaches that are normally dry, minor coastal erosion, and saltwater inundation.
Instruction: 
Avoid driving through flooded roadways. If you are forced to drive through salt water, be sure to rinse your vehicle with fresh water. Move electronics, vehicles or other valuables to higher ground. Monitor vessels to ensure mooring lines don't get too tight and watch out for overwash around boat ramps. Secure canoes or other watercraft stowed on beaches.
