Description:
* WHAT...For the Cold Weather Advisory, very cold wind chills as low
as 26 expected. For the Freeze Warning, sub-freezing temperatures
as low as 31 expected.
* WHERE...Inland Citrus and Inland Levy Counties.
* WHEN...For the Cold Weather Advisory, until 8 AM EST this morning.
For the Freeze Warning, from 2 AM to 9 AM EST Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Very cold temperatures can lead to hypothermia with
prolonged exposure. Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops,
other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor
plumbing.
Instruction:
Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.
Keep pets indoors as much as possible.
Make sure outdoor animals have a warm, dry shelter, food, and
unfrozen water.
Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills
inside.
Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.
