Description:
* WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 5 below expected.
* WHERE...Portions of central, southeast, and west central New
Mexico.
* WHEN...From midnight tonight to 8 AM MST Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin
is exposed to these temperatures.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Light snow in some areas like the Central
Highlands near Clines Corners along I-40 could cause brief
hazardous slick winter travel during the morning commute.
Instruction:
Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.
Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills
inside.
