Description:
* WHAT...Very cold temperatures as low as 2 below expected.
* WHERE...Portions of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, and
western Kentucky.
* WHEN...From 9 PM CST /10 PM EST/ this evening to 6 AM CST /7 AM
EST/ Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin
is exposed to these temperatures.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Clearing skies and much colder air will move
into the region tonight. Dangerously cold conditions are expected
in areas impacted by the recent ice storm that may still have
lingering power outages.
Instruction:
Keep pets indoors as much as possible. If an an area impacted by
widespread power outages consider evaluating other sheltering
options overnight.
