Description:
At 340 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near The Pinery, or
23 miles southeast of Denver, moving northeast at 15 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees. Hail may accumulate on roadways
causing hazardous travel.
Locations impacted include...
Southern Aurora, southeastern Centennial, Castle Rock, Parker, The
Pinery, Ponderosa Park, Franktown and Castlewood Canyon.
Instruction:
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large
hail.
Heavy rain is occurring with this storm and may lead to flooding. Do
not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
