Central Eddy County in southeastern New Mexico... * Until 515 PM MDT. * At 413 PM MDT, a dust channel was near Loving, or near Carlsbad, moving northeast at 35 mph. HAZARD...Less than two miles visibility with strong wind in excess of 50 mph. SOURCE...Trained weather spotters. IMPACT...Hazardous travel, especially along portions of State Highway 128, US Highway 285, and US Highway 62 near Carlsbad. Locations impacted include... Carlsbad, Loving, Avalon, Carlsbad North, Brantley Lake State Park, Lake Avalon, Otis, Cavern City Air Terminal, and Living Desert State Park.

Blowing dust brings reduced visibility, leading to dangerous driving conditions. If driving, avoid blowing dust if possible.
