Northwestern Imperial County in southeastern California... * Until 1045 PM PDT. * At 850 PM PDT, a dust channel is still visible in satellite imagery south of the Salton Sea, moving eastward and impacting the northern Imperial Valley. HAZARD...Less than two miles visibility with strong wind in excess of 40 mph. SOURCE...Satellite imagery. IMPACT...Hazardous travel. * This includes the following highways... CA Route 78 between mile markers 5 and 33. CA Route 111 between mile markers 19 and 50. CA Route 86 between mile markers 17 and 57. Locations impacted include... Brawley, Salton City, Westmorland, Calipatria, Slab City, Niland, Winona, Alamorio, and Wiest.
Instruction: 
Blowing dust brings reduced visibility, leading to dangerous driving conditions. If driving, avoid blowing dust if possible. If caught in dense blowing dust, pull off the road, turn off your lights and keep your foot off the brake. Motorists should not drive into an area of blowing dust. PULL ASIDE STAY ALIVE!
