At 453 PM MDT, blowing dust was located in the Roswell area. Localized areas of near zero visibility are possible near dust source regions. HAZARD...Less than a mile visibility with strong wind in excess of 50 mph. SOURCE...Law enforcement reported road closures due to blowing dust, including the Roswell Relief Route between Sunset and Brasher and along US 285 near Roswell. IMPACT...Hazardous travel. This includes the following highways... Highway 285 between Mile Markers 80 and 134. Highway 380 between Mile Markers 156 and 192. Locations impacted include... Roswell, Dexter, Hagerman, Bitter Lake Wildlife Refuge, Elkins, Bottomless Lakes State Park, Lake Arthur, Greenfield, Roswell Correctional Facility, and Midway.
