FFWPAH The National Weather Service in Paducah has extended the * Flash Flood Warning for... Butler County in southeastern Missouri... Ripley County in southeastern Missouri... * Until 900 AM CDT Sunday. * At 813 PM CDT, Emergency management reported heavy rain in Numerous roads throughout the warned remain impassable due to high water. Between 5 and 9 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain. SOURCE...Emergency management reported. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Poplar Bluff, Doniphan, Naylor, Neelyville, Qulin, Fisk, Fairdealing, Milltown, Oxly, Budapest, Harviell, Brush Arbor, Hendrickson, Gatewood, Handy, Briar and Rombauer. A levee breach has been reported along Cane Creek just north of Harviell, which will flood locations along and east of East Main Street in Harviell, MO.
Instruction: 
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
