The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Central Harding County in northeastern New Mexico...
Northeastern San Miguel County in northeastern New Mexico...
* Until 800 AM MDT.
* At 502 AM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain persisting between Conchas, Trujillo, Mosquero and
Bueyeros. Between 1.25 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen.
Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible in
the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly and is most likely in the vicinity of Mosquero.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Both localized and distant heavy rainfall will create sudden and
dangerous flows in arroyos and over low water crossings.
