Currituck County in northeastern North Carolina... * Until 930 PM EDT. * At 621 PM EDT, broadcast media and the public reported street flooding in the warned area. Between 3 and 8 inches of rain have fallen, with the highest amounts in eastern Currituck County where a Considerable Flash Flood Warning is in effect. Flash flooding is already occurring. Additional rain amounts of 0.5 to 2 inches are possible this evening. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain. SOURCE...Public and broadcast media reported. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
