Description:
At 638 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
that heavy rain was falling across the warned area. Between 3 and 5
inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to
begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain. The heavy rain has
moved out of the warning but it will take time for the
water to recede.
SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

North Augusta, Grovetown, Evans, Thomson, Waynesboro, Fort
Eisenhower, Martinez, Augusta, Hephzibah, Harlem, Midville, South
Augusta, Augusta Mall, Gough, McBean, Daniel Field, Village Plaza
Shopping Center, Augusta Regional Airport, Glendale and
Summerville.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 20 in Georgia between mile markers 167 and 200.
Interstate 520 in Georgia between mile markers 1 and 15.

Most flooding deaths occur in vehicles. Never drive through a
flooded roadway or around barricades. Turn around, don't drown.
Flooded roadways are nearly impossible to see at night. Avoid
