FFWRNK The National Weather Service in Blacksburg has extended the * Flash Flood Warning for... Eastern Buckingham County in central Virginia... * Until 730 AM EDT. * At 328 AM EDT, Local law enforcement reported flash flooding in Fthroughout the eastern part of the county, including the Slate River at Arvonia which was above flood stage. Many roads are closed due to flooding. Between 3 and 7 inches of rain have fallen since Monday evening. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain. SOURCE...Law enforcement reported. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Buckingham... Dillwyn... Gold Hill... New Canton... Slate River at Arvonia This includes the following streams and drainages...
