* Until noon CDT.
* At 1008 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
thunderstorms with heavy rain moving repeatedly over the warned
area. Rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are likely from near
Brownfield to Lubbock. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

Lubbock, Brownfield, Wolfforth, Shallowater, Idalou, Slide,
Lubbock South Plains Mall, Reese Center, Woodrow, Texas Tech
University, Lubbock International Airport, New Deal, Meadow,

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
