Description:
At 1246 AM CST, Local law enforcement reported flooding was
occurring from thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned
area. Between 3 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is
ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

Rolla, Fort Leonard Wood, Salem, Waynesville, Mountain Grove,
Houston, St. Robert, St. James, Licking, Cabool, Doolittle,
Summersville, Newburg, Raymondville, Edgar Springs, Huggins,
Plato, Beulah, Hazelton, Prescott, Lenox, Anutt, Success, Montauk,
Roby, Lecoma, Bucyrus, Lake Spring, Darien, Yukon, Devil's Elbow,
Solo, Eunice, Jerome, Simmons, Hartshorn, Howes, Elk Creek,
Bendavis and Northwye.
This includes the following low water crossings...
Big Piney River at Cleveland Road, Dry Fork Creek at County Road
2430, Smoky Hollow at Highway J, Norman Creek at County Road 4220,
Boone Creek at Boone Creek Road, Little Piney River at Union Road
and South Fork Jacks Fork River at Stillhouse Road.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
