Description:
At 700 AM CST, gauge reports indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...gauge reports indicated flooding is occurring across the
warned area from heavy rainfall that has fallen.
Numerous low water crossings are flooded across the
warned area.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.
Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Ava, Theodosia, Wasola, Sundown, Rome, Thornfield, Brownbranch,
Squires, Long Run, Noble, Goodhope, Rueter, Protem, Brushyknob and
Bull Shoals Lake.
This includes the following low water crossings...
Bryant Creek at Highway U, Beaver Creek at County Road 524,
Cowskin Creek at Highway Y, Bryant Creek at County Road 223,
Little North Fork River at County Road 916, Pond Fork at County
Road 883 and Little North Fork at Haskins Ford Road.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
