Eastern Brooks County in south central Georgia...
Lowndes County in south central Georgia...
* Until 730 AM EST.
* At 237 AM EST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
rain was continuing to fall across the warned area. Between 10 and
12 inches of rain have already fallen. Although rainfall rates are
lighter, flash flooding will likely continue as long as rain
continues given the extremely heavy amounts that have already
fallen.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.
SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

Base, Remerton, Dasher, Kinderlou, Valdosta Regional Airport, I-75
At Exit 22, I-75 At Exit 11, Clyattville, Blue Springs, I-75 At
Exit 29, Twin Lakes, I-75 At Exit 5, Barretts and Nankin.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
