The National Weather Service in Lubbock has extended the
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Terry County in northwestern Texas...
Southeastern Yoakum County in northwestern Texas...
* Until 300 AM CST.
* At 1153 PM CST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between
2 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of
1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is
already occurring. The highest rainfall amounts have occurred
along Highway 62 between Wellman and Brownfield.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding produced by heavy
showers and thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses.

Brownfield, Tokio, and Wellman.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
