Northwestern Hill County in central Texas... * Until 1100 AM CST. * At 927 AM CST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Clifton, Whitney, Itasca, Meridian, Laguna Park, Blum, Cranfills Gap, Covington, Lake Whitney, Lake Whitney State Park, Meridian State Park, Morgan, Retreat, Cedar Shores, Lakewood Harbor, Norse, Lakeside Village, Kopperl, Womack and Cayote. This includes Interstate 35W between mile markers 6 and 14. Flooding is more likely for areas that received heavy rain on Christmas Eve. Be extra viligant about flooding if the ground near your location is already saturated.
Instruction: 
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. In hilly terrain there are low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
