* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of eastern North Carolina, including the following counties, Carteret, Craven and Pamlico. * WHEN...Until 615 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 529 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. Between 2 and 7 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Morehead City, Cedar Island, Harkers Island, South River, North River, Merrimon, Sealevel, Davis, Atlantic, Smyrna, Marshallberg, Straits, Great Neck, Whortonsville, Williston, Otway, Janeiro, Grantsboro, Open Grounds Farm and Nc Pamlico. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
