* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of eastern North Carolina, including the following counties, Carteret and Craven. * WHEN...Until 815 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Water over roadways. Some low-water crossings may become impassable. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 652 AM EDT, Flooded roads continue to be reported as heavy rain occurred due to thunderstorms. Overflowing poor drainage areas have already caused flooding in the advisory area. Between 3 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Havelock, Morehead City, Newport, Pine Knoll Shores, Wildwood, North Harlowe, Cherry Branch Ferry Terminal, Oceana Pier, Mitchell Village and Indian Beach. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
