* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of central North Carolina, including the following counties, Durham, Franklin, Granville, Orange and Wake. * WHEN...Until 845 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 545 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Durham, Hillsborough, Creedmoor, Wake Forest, Mebane, Butner, Rougemont, Youngsville, Stem, Lake Michie, Bahama, Gorman, Lake Butner, Eno River State Park, Falls Lake, Rollingview Marina, Falls Lake State Rec Area, Schley, Falls Lake Boat Ramp and Purnell. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
