* WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Portions of central and southeast New Mexico, including the following counties, in central New Mexico, eastern Lincoln. In southeast New Mexico, north central Chaves. * WHEN...Until 700 PM MDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 354 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms with very heavy rain moving northeast around 40 mph. This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding. Up to 1.5 inches of rain have fallen over parts of the area in the past 60 minutes. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Mainly rural areas of Eastern Lincoln and North Central Chaves Counties. - State Road 246 and U.S. Highway 285 will be impacted. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
Instruction: 
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Both localized and distant heavy rainfall will create sudden and dangerous flows in arroyos and over low water crossings.
