* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of south central Virginia, including the following counties, Charlotte and Halifax. * WHEN...Until 215 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1109 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms having recently passed through the advisory area. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen since 10 PM. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Buckskin Creek, Bluestone Creek, Armistead Branch, Buck Branch, Big Branch, Cargills Creek, Aarons Creek, Catawba Creek, Banister River, Black Walnut Creek and Buffalo Creek. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
