* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Portions of Virginia, including the following counties, Alleghany VA, Botetourt, Craig, Giles and Montgomery and southeast West Virginia, including the following county, Monroe. * WHEN...Until 1015 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Some low-water crossings may become impassable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 612 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Bens Run, Blue Lick Creek, Barbours Creek, Blue Spring Run, Broad Hollow Creek, Broad Run, Allen Creek, Catawba Creek, Back Creek and Bee Branch. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Pearisburg...
