Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of piedmont North Carolina, including the
following counties, Cabarrus and Mecklenburg.
* WHEN...Until 1230 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 928 PM EDT, Several inches of rain has fallen throughout
the day and streams across the Charlotte metro area running
high. Additional light to moderate rain has resulted in
enough runoff to boost several streams into action stage or
low end minor. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.2 to 0.5 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.

Uptown Charlotte, Huntersville, Kannapolis, Downtown Concord,
Central Charlotte, South Charlotte, Northeast Charlotte, East
Charlotte, Southwest Charlotte, Northwest Charlotte, West
Concord, Matthews, Cornelius, Mint Hill, Davidson,
Weddington, Stallings, Pineville, Harrisburg and Tega Cay.

message should describe the specific location where impacts occurred
and the depth of flooding observed.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
