* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of central Virginia, including the following county, Buckingham. * WHEN...Until 300 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Overflowing poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At midnight EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Cole Creek, Cooper Creek, Appomattox River, David Creek, Cemetery Creek, Beasley Creek, Bear Garden Creek, Alabama Creek, Brick Kiln Branch, Brickyard Branch, Bishop Creek and Crooked Creek. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Buckingham...
