* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of eastern North Carolina, including the following counties, Craven, Duplin, Greene, Jones, Lenoir and Pitt. * WHEN...Until 1045 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 746 PM EDT, trained weather spotters reported heavy rain in the advisory area due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is already occurring. Between 2 and 5 inches of rain have fallen since this afternoon. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in additional areas of minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Greenville, Kinston, Winterville, Ayden, La Grange, Grifton, Snow Hill, Deep Run, Shelmerdine, Calico, Black Jack, Dawson, Graingers, Ormondsville, Maury, Institute, Roundtree, Jason, Wyse Fork and Albertson. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
