* WHAT...Minor flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Portions of south central and west central Virginia, including the following counties and independent cities, in south central Virginia, Bedford. In west central Virginia, City of Roanoke, City of Salem, Franklin and Roanoke. * WHEN...Until 445 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Overflowing poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 321 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen since Monday evening. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Blackwater River and Back Creek. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Roanoke... Salem...
