Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Cabo Rojo, Hormigueros, Lajas, Maricao, Sabana Grande, San
German and Yauco.
* WHEN...Until 400 PM AST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Water over
roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1254 PM AST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain,
with isolated totals up to 4 inches, have fallen, primarily
in Cabo Rojo, Lajas, and San German.
- As these thunderstorms continue to develop and spread across
the advisory area, expect additional rainfall amounts of 1 to
2 inches. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
