Description:
* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of east central Kansas, including the following
county, Lyon.
* WHEN...Until 500 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over some roadways.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 115 PM CDT, broadcast media reported flooding of some
roadways due to heavy rainfall. Urban and small stream
flooding is occurring. Between 2 and 2.5 inches of rain have
fallen. An additional 0.5 inches of rain is possible this
afternoon.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Emporia.
- This includes the following highways...
Kansas Turnpike between mile markers 125 and 129.
Interstate 35 between mile markers 128 and 133.
