Description:
* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of southwest Illinois, including the following
counties, Monroe and Randolph.
* WHEN...Until 245 PM CST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is
imminent.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1144 AM CST, the public reported heavy rain in the
advisory area due to thunderstorms. This is causing urban and
small stream flooding, particularly in Baldwin where water
has covered roadways near Highway 154. Between 3 and 5 inches
of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.

Waterloo, Chester, Ste. Genevieve, Sparta, Red Bud, Bremen,
Coulterville, Tilden, Evansville, Baldwin, St. Mary, New
Design, Eden, Preston, Blair, Prairie Du Rocher, Prairie,
Hecker, Ellis Grove and Ruma.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
