* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Portions of northwest and west central Arkansas, including the following counties, in northwest Arkansas, Benton, Carroll, Crawford, Madison and Washington AR. In west central Arkansas, Franklin. * WHEN...Until 945 PM CST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 544 PM CST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 2 inches and locally higher are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Fayetteville... Springdale... Rogers... Bentonville... Siloam Springs... Berryville... Instruction: 
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
