* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of central South Carolina, including the following counties, Calhoun, Lexington, Orangeburg and Richland. * WHEN...Until 945 PM EST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 634 PM EST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Orangeburg, Brookdale, McEntire Air Base, St. Matthews, Gaston, Eastover, Sandy Run, Congaree National Park, Hopkins, Gadsden, Claflin College, South Carolina State University, Edisto Gardens, Horrel Hill, Orangeburg County Airport, Swansea, Woodford, Cordova, New Zion and Lexington Acres Pond. - This includes Interstate 26 between mile markers 121 and 149. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
