Advisory for the following rivers in Oklahoma...
Salt Fork Arkansas River at Tonkawa affecting Kay, Noble and
Grant Counties.
Cimarron River near Dover affecting Kingfisher and Logan Counties.
Cimarron River near Waynoka affecting Woods, Woodward and Major
Counties.
Cimarron River near Ripley affecting Payne County.
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Cimarron River near Ripley.
* WHEN...From this afternoon to Thursday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Expect the Cimarron River to reach
bankfull levels through Payne County. Small areas of agricultural
land and oil wells located near the channel are isolated by water
in cutoff channels along the river valley.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1:00 PM CST Sunday the stage was 8.3 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 17.0 feet.
- Forecast...The Cimarron River is expected to rise to a crest
of 16.5 feet early Wednesday afternoon.
- Action stage is 16.0 feet.
- Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
