...The National Weather Service in Norman has issued a Flood Advisory for the following rivers in Oklahoma... North Canadian River near Seiling affecting Woodward, Major and Dewey Counties. North Canadian River near Woodward affecting Woodward County. North Canadian River near Harrah affecting Pottawatomie, Lincoln and Oklahoma Counties. North Canadian River near Watonga affecting Blaine and Canadian Counties. North Canadian River near Yukon affecting Canadian and Oklahoma Counties. Canadian River near Bridgeport affecting Blaine, Grady, Caddo and Canadian Counties. Canadian River at Norman affecting McClain and Cleveland Counties. Little River near Tecumseh affecting Pottawatomie and Seminole Counties. * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...North Canadian River near Seiling. * WHEN...From this afternoon until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, Some croplands... pastures... and rural roads may be flooded. Areas affected extend from the southwest corner of Major County... downstream to the headwaters of Canton Lake in Dewey County. Cattle and other property should be relocated to places which are higher than nearby river banks... to avoid being isolated for several hours by water in side channels. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1:00 PM CST Sunday the stage was 4.8 feet. - Bankfull stage is 11.0 feet. - Forecast...The river will rise to 9.9 feet early Tuesday morning. It will then fall to 8.8 feet early Wednesday afternoon. It will rise to 9.4 feet Friday morning.
