Description:
* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall continues.
* WHERE...Central Lubbock County, including the City of Lubbock.
* WHEN...Until 1100 PM CST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 907 PM CST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rain. This will cause urban and small stream
flooding. Between 0.2 and 0.9 inches of rain have fallen,
with the highest amounts in eastern Lubbock and into Ransom
Canyon.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.

Lubbock, Slaton, Wolfforth, Shallowater, Idalou, Ransom
Canyon, Downtown Lubbock, Texas Tech University, Lubbock
South Plains Mall, Lubbock International Airport, Woodrow,
Reese Center, New Deal, Buffalo Springs, and Lubbock Science
Spectrum.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
