Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of southeast Louisiana, including the following
parishes, St. Tammany and Tangipahoa and southern Mississippi,
including the following counties, Hancock and Pearl River.
* WHEN...Until 330 PM CST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1136 AM CST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area.
- 0.5 to 1 inch of rainfall has already fallen in some areas,
with additional rainfall expected to increase in coverage and
intensity over the next few hours.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Slidell, Picayune, Covington, Pearl River, Abita Springs,
Madisonville, Lacombe and Slidell Airport.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
